Map of Treasure Hammock Ranch |
![]() |
Treasure Hammock Ranch is located on the east coast of Florida in Indian River County. Woodlands, wetlands, and open pasture make up the landscape. The Ranch is home to approximately 500 head of cattle on 610-acres of land. There are 250 cows, 70 replacement cows, 30 bulls (herd sires), 50 sale bulls, and 100 sale calves. The Ranch is divided into smaller fenced sections allowing the herds to be rotated (represented by arrows on map); during the warmer months on a weekly basis, and during the winter about every two to three days. Since the herds subsist almost entirely on what grows in the pastures, rotation restricts overgrazing and allows for the vegetation to recover before a herd moves back in again. |
