Cowpens, Barn, Scales, Chute and Head Gate were built around the time Waldo purchased the land in 1943.  Jack Peters, a tomato farmer put in wells and ditches and cleared the open land in exchange for use of the ground and soon after, pastures were planted and fenced and a cow-calf Ranch operation was in place that has been in continuous production ever since.
